April 2012

The National Assessment Governing Board (NAGB) will host two live town hall webinars, on May 1 and May 3, to discuss a recent report on the background questions used in concert with the National Assessment of Education Progress (NAEP). The NAGB hopes to hear views on this debated issue from educators and education researchers about modifications that would provide richer information about the education experience of students assessed by NAEP. The NAGB will make a brief presentation on the collection and use of NAEP background questions, and then participants will be asked to voice their opinions and thoughts in an open-ended discussion.

To read the report and to register for the May 1 or May 3 webinar, visit the NAGB town hall meeting webpage.
