AERA to Commemorate Centennial at 2016 Annual Meeting, April 8-12

AERA is pleased to announce that registration and housing are now open for the 2016 AERA Annual Meeting. The meeting will take place in Washington, D.C., April 8-12.

The 2016 Annual Meeting commemorates the AERA Centennial year. More than 15,000 AERA members and scholars from aligned fields and disciplines are expected to come to the nation’s capital to present their work and add their presence to launching the second century of the field. The meeting spans five days and some 2,500 sessions featuring high-quality and timely education research.

The 2016 Annual Meeting theme is "Public Scholarship to Educate Diverse Democracies." This year, there will also be special programming related to the Centennial. A Centennial plenary and a gala celebration will be held the first day of the Annual Meeting.

AERA members receive a substantial discount on meeting registration. To get the special member registration rate please make sure you have renewed your AERA membership for 2016. You will be able to renew your membership and reserve your hotel while registering for the meeting.

After you log in, click ‘My AERA’ at the top of the page. On the ‘My AERA’ page, scroll down to the 2016 Annual Meeting and click ‘Register and Make Your Hotel Reservation Now’. Once you complete your registration, you can make your online hotel reservation by clicking the ‘Hotel Reservation’ button in the upper left side of the registration confirmation summary screen.
