November 2015 As we head into the Thanksgiving break, AERA sends all of our members, friends, and families a special holiday greeting. This is a time of gratitude and reflection. Events in recent weeks, whether in Paris, Mali, Chicago, or Minneapolis, remind us of the fragility of peace, goodwill, and tolerance, and the perniciousness of hate and bigotry, worldwide and in our own country.
As we give thanks in many ways for what we have, AERA also recognizes our responsibility as a community of scholars to use our knowledge to foster universal systems of education that serve to ensure the potential and well-being of all.
On behalf of AERA, we wish you a happy Thanksgiving.
Felice
