Scholars Examine Research on the Use of Race in Admissions in Anticipation
of Fisher v. University of Texas – Austin Decision by U.S. Supreme Court

WASHINGTON, April 24 – The American Educational Research Association (AERA) meets for the 94th Annual Meeting in San Francisco from Saturday, April 27 through Wednesday, May 1. Among more than 2,000 sessions that take place, the Association will feature two on Fisher v. University of Texas – Austin as the nation awaits a decision from the U.S. Supreme Court.

WHAT: Two sessions on Fisher v. University of Texas, Austin will outline scientific evidence on the use of race as one factor in the university’s admissions policy as outlined in the AERA et al amicus brief submitted to the U.S. Supreme Court and the implications of the imminent court decision to higher education.
