AERA Open is a peer-reviewed, open access journal published by the American Educational Research Association (AERA). With an emphasis on rapid review and dissemination, AERA Open aims to advance knowledge through theoretical and empirical study across arenas of inquiry related to education and learning. AERA Open emphasizes publishing scientific and scholarly work that adds to knowledge incrementally and cumulatively.

Mark Warschauer, a professor of education and informatics at University of California, Irvine, focuses his research on technology in learning.

Greg J. Duncan, a Distinguished Professor at UCI’s School of Education, focuses his research on the effects of families, schools, and policy on children.

Jacquelynne Eccles, a Distinguished Professor at UCI’s School of Education, focuses her research on adolescent and student development.
