Shaun Harper has focused on making scholarship relevant to practice. His research included the Institutional Change for Black Male Student Success Project, encouraging innovation on college campuses. His publications in both top-ranked journals and education-related media have been highly influential. Beyond his scholarly writing, he has published influential evidence-based articles for professional magazines, and he collaborates with national and important community organizations through his work at the Center for the Study of Race and Equity in Education at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Harper’s efforts to improve educational outcomes for African-American and Latino males have influenced changes in policy and practices across higher education.
